R. Guy has scheduled his Eagle project for this Saturday, Sept. 6 from 9am till 4pm at Trinity. He will be redoing the retaining wall by the picnic area next our meeting building. Pizza lunch will be provided. This is great time to come to the aid of a fellow scout in need and pick up service hours. |

We will be having a Sponge Toss booth at the Pecan Festival on Saturday, Sept. 27. This months meetings will have some time dedicated to brainstorming and building our booth. |

Northstar training for any adult interested in becoming a Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster (which we could use more) is available starting September 10 with the New Leaders Essentials. Continuing on Sept. 13 with the SM/ASM Specifics, culminating with the weekend campout on October 3-5 at Camp Shuman. All three courses must be attended and completed in order to get your Northstar certificate (if you have taken any of these during Cub Scouts times they do not qualify for Boy Scouts). During the course of the training you will become part of a Boy Scout Troop, learning patrol methods, what PLCs are and do and experience it all first hand on a camping trip. Once completed you will understand the terminology 'boy led, boy run troop' and have an understanding as to why things are done the way they are.
